Did you know you can have Xplan automatically reassign tasks to another team member when someone goes on leave?
Why?
- Be confident that tasks are not falling through the cracks when someone goes on leave.
- Save time not having to monitor a second person’s task list when they are away.
- The perfect tool for when your workflows auto-allocate tasks to specific role types.
How?
- Select preferences from below your name,
- Navigate to Tasks, then Auto reassign
- Add in from whom to whom and for when….you’re all done.
As easy as that. Any tasks that get assigned to the person on leave during the time they are on leave will now auto assign to the nominated team member.
Pro Tip: Auto reassign works for new tasks only - remember to allocate any tasks already active to other team members before you head off on leave.

Love this tip courtney.youngblutt – super handy for making sure nothing gets missed when someone’s away! 🙌🏼
Thanks for breaking it down so clearly. That tip about already active tasks is a great reminder, too.
Keen to hear if anyone else has any questions about this Xplan Hint – or how about your favourite Xplan Tasks shortcut or tip?
