Form type Checklist in Notes for ongoing use?
Hi All,
Has anyone set up or created a form type document in Xplan notes.
I have used Note Templates before and am aware I can use a table. Or a merge output however we don't want to re-tick opt...

6 months agoHi sarah.burke38, that's a great idea. While it's not possible to create a form inside a file note in the way that you are thinking, some alternative options might be:
- Reuse the same file note. Open and edit it each time. The updates are saved in the audit trail if you ever needed to check back.
- You could use the form building capability native to word or google docs and attach that to a file note. It would need to be downloaded and re-uploaded each time it is updated
- You might be able to use the checklist function inside a task
- Another option might be to use benchmarks within a case to capture critical items. e.g. if a checkbox item is to confirm an FSG has been provided, you can link the FSG to the case to prove it was provided rather than just ticking it off a list
- If the checklist items are used later in the advice process perhaps by the paraplanner in writing the SOA, you could consider building custom fields that could allow the boxes to be checked once post meeting then flow from the meeting note, into a paraplanning request form then into the SOA by using the same scenario field in a wizard. If looking at this option, the 'checklist' items captured by the adviser, should be structured so that they can used in the SOA as is to remove any need to enter the information twice.
There might be other ways that I haven't thought of. I'd be interested too in seeing if others have implemented anything similar that could help with this.
