Using Xplan Client Portal as a Document Vault
Hi All,
I'd be interested to know if any other practices are using the Xplan Client Portal as a Document Vault for clients to upload important documents such as Wills, PoA's etc?
Our clients love the ability to upload documents via the portal, but it doesn't appear that there is any flexibility to "tag" or categorise a file note once it has been uploaded in the same way we can in the back end of Xplan.
Are other using it in this manner?
Is Xplan looking at developing a Document Vault as many other CRM providers offer?
We've also had feedback from clients that it is now hard for them to search or filter for different types of files\messages we have sent them via the portal and they can't mark them as read or move them into an "actioned" folder like they would like to.
Would love your thoughts on both of the items above.

Thanks lachlan.fuller - where can I get more information about the segregation of file notes & custom folders within the portal - I'd like to explore this further

Hi sharyn.evans8, the Community has this article on Custom Message Folders . You'll need to send through your custom folder names to Iress to set up but then you can use it similar to how you can Mark a message as "Important". Hope that helps - let us know if this works for your use case or if you have any questions!
sarah.burke38 - might be useful for you too?

Hi sharyn.evans8 ,
Currently the Documents and Messages section of Client Portal does not support tagging however it is one of a number of items we are considering to add to this area. You do have the option of segregating notes and their attachments into custom folders which allocate based on the file note type. You can create a mapping that suits you.
I've added your comments to you internal enhancements register for consideration.

Lachlan

Hi,
We are also interested in this, we have stopped using the portal so much due to the client experience not being so great.
Thanks
Sarah
