If simple advice still needs to meet the new best interest duty (which supposedly it will), encouraging broader access to advice is what we should be doing. Technology has evolved to a point that monitoring can be close to live for NCAs (and implementation unfortunately isn’t anywhere near close to that), and the regulatory protection capacity ASIC has built up in advice at this point (and expense) should provide a safety net despite the traditional risks. But maybe this comment will also age poorly. 🤷🏻‍♂️
