Privacy Consent Notice

Iress Limited (incorporated in Australia, ABN 47 060 313 359) is a technology company that, in connection with all companies within its Group (together ("Iress""us" or "we"), provides software and services to the financial services industry.

We are required to comply with all applicable privacy legislation, including delegated legislation, in the jurisdictions in which we conduct our business. In Australia, this includes the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (“Privacy Act”) and 13 Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”) contained within.

This Notice describes the personal information we may collect from you, and how we may use, disclose, share, store, and protect (“handle”) that personal information in relation to our Advisely service and Business and Advice Efficiency tool (collectively, “services”). By providing us with your personal information, you consent to us handling your personal information as set out in this Notice.

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect the following personal information from you in order for us to provide our services:

  • Full name;
  • Username;
  • Email address;
  • Occupation;
  • Place of employment;
  • User biographical information;
  • User profile (facial image) photo;
  • Geographic (IP address) location;
  • User interactions with the Advisely service; and
  • Practice financial information (eg revenue and expenses).

Note: If you choose not to provide the requested personal information, we may be unable to provide our services.

We keep your personal information safe in a secured location, and only accessible to authorised internal Australian based staff members, our contracted service providers (and their sub-contracted service providers) for the purposes of facilitating our services (for example, Khoros, LLC and Business Health Pty Ltd), or to meet our contractual and regulatory obligations. In addition, if you use the Business and Advice Efficiency tool, we may provide the results to your Australian Financial Services Licensee, as identified by you in the Business and Advice Efficiency tool, or otherwise notified to us from time to time. We will securely destroy your personal information either at your request or as otherwise required to comply with law.

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.
