I'm guessing my previous suggestion around searching the opt-in history element does not give you the result you need.

 Are you able to let me know where it fell down and I'll see if I can come up with an alternative.?

The 'history' element basically acts like an audit trail and all changes are captured there. It even works with a new client - as soon as you update the fields for the first time, they are available in the history element to search on.
