AI File Note Summaries - Future Xplan Feature??

I've used a number of AI file note summary tools built by Australian businesses that have been great, extremely time efficient and accurate, the likes of Claras.ai & Paradino.

What is the likelihood that Xplan would consider adding an AI recording feature in Xplan in the file note section that transcribes and summarises file notes

We constantly talk about efficiencies and how to add value and improve the adviser experience, and I have found this to be one of the best additions I have made to our business.

Hi Luke, great question! Thanks for sharing your experience with AI file note tools like Claras.ai and Paradino—it’s great to hear how much value they’ve added to your business.

The good news? We’re actively exploring AI-driven file note summarisation in Xplan! In fact, we’ve been prototyping some exciting solutions and are aiming to release something in the first half of this year.

To make sure we get this right, we’re keen to collaborate with advisers like yourself. If you're interested in being part of our user testing group, reach out to your account manager or connect with us via Iress Connect—we’d love your input!

Also, keep an eye on our Xplan Product Roadmap, which will be published on our website soon, for updates on this and other upcoming features.

We have been exploring this too but have run into hurdles with our compliance team given a lot of the solutions process the meeting recording data off-shore. How have you managed this issue within your business. We know of one company we have a relationship with that run their AI model in house to avoid the off-shore data processing issue but it would be good to know if there are solutions that can confirm all data is processed on for instance Azure servers located in Australia (or AWS etc).

    Hi Edward,

all of Clara’s.ai, Paradino and filenote.ai have a focus on high levels of privacy, removing personal details I.e. client names before processing and retaining information on shore. Happy to put you in touch with them to discuss it further if that helps. Only issues are cost, were you would expect to pay $150per month per adviser, but well worth the cost.

@rainer.reyes I would love to see this pushed even further with the Ai model reviewing client data in xplan including file notes to the point that it can provide you with insights and also important points that were discussed with the client previously. This is already all possible, but could be implemented really well at Xplan.

  • Great callout luke.watson3 and thanks for sharing edward.wilmoth !

Very exciting news on the Xplan side of things sarah.jacobs , and I can't wait to hear you share more updates about this with the Advisely community as things progress.

I wonder how the rest of the community has driven efficiencies with AI-integrated processes. What tools are we all using? And what part of the advice process? Keen to hear everyone's experiences.
