How well do your clients sleep at night?
The more you look at studies on what makes happy retirees, the more obvious it becomes that your retiree clients don’t care about asset allocation; they care about knowing they can keep a roof over their heads, eat food, and pay their bills—no matter what markets do.
- Sure, having an adviser helps.
- Sure, having enough wealth that it doesn't matter what markets do helps (a lot).
But for all of them - they just want to know they can sleep peacefully at night.
So, how do you approach this in your practice?
🔹 Do you start with income needs first, or does portfolio strategy still take priority?
🔹 How do you help clients manage the retirement risk zone without leaving them exposed?
🔹 Are we missing an opportunity to rethink retirement income altogether?
I explore these questions in my latest blog here, but I’d love to hear how you’re tackling this in your own advice practices.
