One of Advisely's main goals is to determine the key factors of an efficient advice process.
Just last week, we released new Advisely Index statistics that demonstrate the material differences between the most efficient advisers and the industry average.
You can read the whole breakdown here, but the gist is that the top 10 Advisely Index advisers are more profitable, serve more clients and are notably quicker than their peers across all production and implementation metrics captured in the Index survey.
We've spent plenty of time over the past 12 months exploring how advisers can achieve these kinds of results, but these discussions are typically held at a certain remove; they focus more on the process than the people involved.
To remedy this, we're launching a new series that takes you behind the scenes of a specific practice, Twomeys, and shows you the journey they're undertaking to scale up their business and bring on more clients. With help from industry experts, the Canberra-based Twomeys team addresses the challenges and opportunities arising from their strategy, compliance, tech, leadership, people and cybersecurity protocols.
The series presents Twomeys at a pivotal transitional period: following a merger and subsequent acquisition, the business essentially comprises "three different ways of operating and three different teams of people," as Twomeys principal Matt Coman puts it in the first episode.
Their goal, then, is to harmonise these disparate teams and approaches so as to reduce inefficiencies and position Twomeys for growth.
Across seven episodes, Twomeys receives expert feedback from Advisely experts Rod Bertino, Selin Ertac, Jessica Lamb, Alisdair Barr and Fraser Jack. Coman says the feedback process has had an “instant impact” on the business and that “we couldn’t have gotten to where we did without that expert input.”
He continues: “It's given us processes and frameworks to have a more laser-like focus on getting the right types of clients and growing sustainably.
"When our capacity is challenged, we can draw on the strategy we developed to look at the next set of clients we can bring on to continue to scale our business."
We’ll release the first three episodes of the Growth Masterclass series, and supporting tools, on October 10th. You’ll be able to watch the full series here – and in the interim, you can download our Finding time guide, which includes efficiency tips from every expert featured in the series.
