Xplan Case Benchmarks - Outcome of task
Hi, we have set up our case benchmarks but not all of them can be automated or we have chosen not to automate some and require the adviser/paraplanner/admin/compliance staff member to go and link certain items to complete the benchmark.
To make this easier we are hoping to have a task outcome that automatically takes them to the case benchmark page as a sort of reminder to complete them (rather than just text in the task saying "navigate to Cases, click into the case, find the benchmark and link the relevant doc etc....".
It doesn't seem this is possible but I'm wondering how other fin planning businesses might be doing something similar.
As background we are still working with staff on always using note templates when saving documents to xplan so that they can auto complete the benchmark, but this is not yet the case and some are still uploading directly to document notes without a template and not always choosing the correct type/subtype so some manual completion of case benchmarks is required.

Hi edward.wilmoth, I love that you are looking to automate and not settling for unnecessary manual steps in a process!
You can have a task outcome that automatically takes the user to the case benchmark page - select the Go To A Page outcome then select the location of your case element on the interface.
Let me know though if this is not what you were after. 🙂

But does this just take the user to the list of cases for that client or actually into the case the thread is linked to?

edward.wilmoth - I'm so sorry, I'm not sure how I missed this. Better late than never....
You are right (as I'm sure you've already discovered) my suggestion will take the user to the list of cases for that client - they still need to open it and link the benchmarks. The list will only show open cases though, so it is easy to identify which case still has benchmarks open.

Thanks for sharing your process edward.wilmoth – automation challenges and opportunities are always ripe for discussion.
I'm looking forward to seeing the community jump in and share what’s worked (or not) for their businesses!
